Fresh from Birmingham

Our Fresh Vegetables Chefs preparing Birmingham's fresh foods Chef preparing herbs

Our produce at The Birmingham Table is local and used daily at our restaurant, including our fresh onions, our groups of berries and our use of our six herbs and spices local from farms and markets which adds home to homemade dishes that we provide from farm-to-fork by connecting ourselves to farms and markets, and especially helpers like you and our customers. This allows us to reduce the mileage it takes to get our food meaning it reduces output of carbon dioxide and still perserves the food fresh when given from nearby. Making our meals not just feel at home, but also shared between many of us and our community.

Words from the partners

One of our volunteers at the community farm

Elizabeth Statham

Head volunteer at Edgbaston community farm

"I was 11 when I first volunteered, I was with my mother helping to plant potatoes and herbs. When we started to work with Birmingham Table. It was a joy to work with a business that has great ideas and a passion for providing something for a community and for that, me and many others are glad to work here at Edgbaston farm."

One of our community partners in Digbeth

Daniel Khan

Manager of The Jewellery Quarter Kitchen

"It is a pleasure to help out in a community of growers by providing the food of Birmingham Table and their sources from Edgbaston. I have an enjoyment of giving fresh food to those who need it most. Our goal here has always been connected to their goals. So we would like to help Birmingham Table as much as possible. And for that, I am grateful for theirs in return."

Founder of the restaurant

Jacob Walker

Co-Founder and CEO of The Birmingham Table

"In 2023, I had an idea.. A vision.. Many of the local goods in our city doesn't get appreciated, in fact, they always go for far away food. In my childhood I used to be on a farm close to Tamworth, and I wondered. What if I made BIrmingham rely on its own sources, from its own farms, that's why I partnered with all our friends to make a sustainable and local source, that helps impact the environment in many positive ways than one. And I am proud to be working with the volunteers, the employees, the partners and most importantly, our community that we want to serve for."

Why it matters

We here at The Birmingham Table firmly believe that food should not just be a delectable consumption, but also should serve a great purpose. It should be about expression, it should be about creativity, it should express a story about our history, our personalities. We want to offer the UK and hopefully the whole world, what we, the Brummies can do. While also helping the environment. Supporting us means supporting the community, your support means a lot to the local employment and your funds will profit towards a future of sustainability in Birmingham. As we like to say about our food. It is Birmingham grown. Birmingham Shared.
